Standing ten feet and often up to over twenty feet in height, these large estate, commercial or municipal Cast-Iron fountains are the centerpiece of many public spaces. They typically consist of bowls greater than five feet in diameter with a maximum of fifteen feet. “Roman” styles are more architectural exhibiting egg and dart detailing combined with fluting, reeding and acanthus. “Sculptural” styles are adorned with organic forms found in nature often with the addition of life-size figures of people or animals. Spouting “remotes” located within the pool are often used to accent these pieces. Forward thinking in the design process for plumbing and electrical needs are designed individually. Because plumbing, waterflow and even lighting and spray rings are considered during design they may be easily customized for a specific effect. Additionally, Cast Iron pool copings and inner pool rings are available for tiered effects.
